Some Actual Progress
Yo, I've been working away over the past week or so. I'm also moving house and I got my exam timetable today so, yeah.
Let's see, what have I done:
- Adapted the double jump
I had heard from testers that the jump was inconsistent, (it isn't, but it's not exactly intuitive) so I made an couple of changes. Now, when you press and hold the jump button it slows down time and an arrow appears on screen to show you which direction you'll be jumping. It deffo clears things up.
- Wall Slides
If you're in the air next to a wall, you can slide down now. Took a while, and I'm not even entirely sure how I got it to work, but you can jump and attack from the wall too.
- New enemy type
Got a hankering to make a raptor robot so i'm hammering out some code for those. At the moment they're brown-ish blobs that dont consistently charge at the player, but it's coming along. More about that soon
- Character Sprites
I have spent the best part of a week adjusting, readjusting, transforming, undoing and needlessly rotating vertices (all at 4000% zoom...) and I'm not done yet. That's soon though. The next build will most likely have some keyframes as placeholder animations.
- The Plot
exists.
